Baby steps, editing and Air Expo

My first vlog was really all botched up.  Now my second vlog–it’s better than the first one, but that’s not saying much.  I learned a lot from my first video.  I was just standing in place with the camera on a tripod, waving my arms around, and looking at the distractions around me.  In my second video, I went out to an event where there were more people.  I made myself walk around, take some footage, and actually talk to the camera.  I had in my head that I needed to conquer my fear of speaking to the camera in public and not be so static.  Well, I didn’t talk too much, but this did give me a chance to work on my filming.  I did get some good footage at the Air Expo.  Because of this footage, I was able to work more on my editing skills.  I still have some work to go, but I’m picking it up pretty quickly.

The first video was all chopped up and felt like it was all over the place.  This one, well, I have to say went way smoother.  I learned a lot more from the process, and all I can say is that it will take baby steps to get this vlogging stuff down to a fine-oiled machine.

I would like to thank Nicolai Heidlas Music for a great song that I used.  The title was called Wings, which I thought was appropriate.  I made the first song at the beginning on GarageBand.  For editing, I used Premiere Pro CC 2017.
