I took a trip earlier this year to Gainesville, Florida. I love natural history, so when I learned about a natural history museum in town, I was like, lets go! This place was amazing! I learned about the local Native Americans and dinosaurs that roamed the area a long, long time ago. The Native Americans topic is something I am very interested in and studied in my college anthropology classes and archeology digs. One of the most visited exhibits at the museum is the butterfly rainforest. I had an awesome time, but what made it really special was going to the museum with the friend I was visiting, who works at the museum. She is a butterfly specialist, so we got a grand tour of the facility. Since I was visiting a friend, I didn’t want to be weighed down with my big camera. I shot all these images with my little Olympus point-n-shoot (read about that camera). If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend checking out the museum. I would like to share some of my images from the museum, enjoy! Click on any image to enlarge.
